Alex Elliott, who was selling his first draft at Tattersalls under the Imperium Sales, was a little emotional after the draft went through the ring.

"I am absolutely over the moon, I am very proud of the horses and very proud of the job that the team has done. I am a bit overwhelmed really on this first time doing it.

"I said to Lucky [Ryan, assistant] a few months ago that we are going to do this, and she went 'Ok!' She has not batted an eyelid right through from the yearling sales, she has has put a team together of phenomenal horse people and done a great job. I can't explain what a wonderful job they have all done.

"We are buying a lot of yearlings, I hope it is something we are going to continue to do. We have sold some serious horses tonight and I hope they go on to do better than they did us – and they have done us a great service.

"I am very sad to see them go, and we are actually going to stay in Balance Play because we loved him and there is lots to come from him. We have a lot of faith in him.

"I am a bit overcome by how well everything has been received, I am very grateful to the owners went through with the idea, and I just want to say thank you to everyone – the buyers, to the viewers, to my clients, to the trainers as the horse turned up looking immaculate. It is everything we dreamed of and more – we came here with big expectations and for the all the horse to jump through the hoops.... I was expecting X and Y to be wrong and it was not at all!

"We have a lot of horses liked Balance Play at home, Ralph has trained him masterfully, he is a late May foal, he has a staying pedigree and Ralph has brought through slowly. He ran over 7f, then ran him on fast ground on Derby Day – he was favourite. He has handled every ground, he could be anything.

"Sad to see him go, but it is the nature of the beast with this game. Hopefully, we have got a bit back.

"I have wanted to do this for a few years and this felt like the right moment, the product was there and you have to have the right product. We were very confident that we had some serious horses."

"Trying to sell horse privately - you have to build a profile. We sold a horse pre-Ascot it is hard on the trainer, hard on the staff... even though we are becoming a nursery you can't just expect them to do all the hard work and then just say "Right that's us!'

"We set out with these horses when we bought them as yearlings that if they don't become what we need which is Group horses, that the end of their three-year-old career they would be [sold].

"I am after horses like King Of Steel, but they don't really exist, they are like hens' teeth." (21:25)

Lot 769: He's A Monster, from the same Imperium Sales draft, this time the property of Lone Star Investments, was bought by Blandford Bloodstock for 450,000gns.

“They’ll both go to Qatar,” said Brown. “We focussed on buying real quality and hopefully we’ve done that. Everyone on the team was very keen on both of these horses. He’s A Monster was recommended highly by Archie [Watson]. He looks progressive and a particularly good looking horse. He could end up running on either Turf or Dirt in Qatar.

“It’s a tremendous effort by Alex Elliott on his first venture selling. They were superbly presented." (21:03)

Johnny McKeever said: "It is about 15 years we have been working with Gai, quite a long time! We are getting to know the system quite well. We are bidding against the likes of Wathnan and that is making it more expensive for us ,and we have bene outbid by the likes of Guy Mulcaster on two others tonight."

Despite the high prize-money in Australia, McKeever said there is still a ceiling on purchase price: "You still to sell them down when you get them back, so you have to be aware, but sometimes it is easier to sell a high profile one than a low profile horse. Luckily, the prize-money is enough to warrant blowing the budget a little now and again, although both of these were inside budget."

Of trade: "I think the top end is as strong as always. You kind of know on these ones who the opposition is going to be."

He smiled: "We do have to pick them– Gai does not like it if you send a bad-looking horse!" (21:01)

Lot 768: Bear On The Loose, by Footstepsinthesand, sold by Imperium Sales for KB Thoroughbreds, is also bought by McKeever Bloodstock / Waterhouse / Bott. The team went to 280,000gns for the three-year-old gelding.

Miller said: "A lovely horse we have purchased in partnership with My Racehorse. Again nice and lightly raced, plenty of improvement, he is a beautiful type, we really liked him on type and he came highly rated on form from Rob Waterhouse. He was around the mark we were looking at price wise."

Waterhouse and My Racehorse have teamed up before with Just Fine, winner of the Group 1 Metropolitan.

"Hopefully, we can do the same!" she smiled.

Of the immediate plans for both horses, Miller said: "We will get them down to Australia probably give them both a good break, then look to the autumn and then the spring next year."

"There is so much interest in Australia for these types of horses as they are racing for so much money. We have had incredible success with European horses, and in particular from this sale, it is very happy hunting ground for us." (20:54)

Lot 767: Balance Play, by Lope De Vega, sold by Imperium Sales for Valmont, sells for 575,000gns and is bought by McKeever Bloodstock / Waterhouse / Bott, Will Bourne the underbidder, the two parties standing on the back stairs with the eventual winning team on the right stair.

Claudia Miller, racing manager for Gai Waterhouse, said: "Balance Play is our highest-rated horse of the sale, we were under strict instructions not to leave without him! he is a lovely three-year-old, lightly raced, very consistent, effective on all going. He just is the exact profile of the horse we look for at this sale. We are very excited to get him."

The bidding was kicked off by the team at 100,000gns and Bourne gave like for much of the auction.

Of the final price, Miller said: "It was strong, we knew it was going to be be strong, but he was a horse we were not leaving without. He could be anything for us, he is easily a stakes horse, there is a lot of improvement in him form-wise, physically as well – these Europeans seem to explode when they get down to the sunshine and the warmer weather. We are expecting more to come."

Of ownership plans for Balance Play she said: "We have some commitment already, a couple of opportunities to get involved, but he is more or less sold." (20:47)

Lot 751 and Lot 752: "They are both for Fawzi Nass and team," said Oliver St Lawrence after Finest Leader (Churchill) at 140,000gns and then Hydration (Oasis Dream) at 210,000gns were both knocked down to Fawzi Nass. "Both vetted well and are to go to Bahrain."

Hydration is a three-time 6f winner and also a winner over 7f, while Finest Leader has won three times over 1m2f.

Both horses were bought from the Barton Stud's Beckhampton House Stables draft.

St Lawrence added: "I was not allowed to bid – Fawzi decided that I was unlucky yesterday!" (20:05)

Lot 721 and Lot 725: Guy Mulcaster is no stranger to buying from the Haggas yard – over the years he has purchased a number of horses at the Autumn Horses In Training Sale from Somerville Lodge on behalf of Chris Waller Racing, and tonight the agent goes to 300,000gns for Florida (No Nay Never) and 230,000gns for Unlimited (Saxon Warrior).

"Both horses were highly recommended by the Haggas stable and we were happy to go with their judgement," said Mulcaster. "We like the horse's profiles and we liked the race replays. Fingers crossed!

"I had Chris on the phone when I bought Florida, and he was pretty happy to keep going and we managed to get him at that money. In the big scheme of things the money in Australia is for the milers and 1800m horses. We have a few more to take look at tonight and tomorrow, then its on the plan and home!"

Florida has run seven times, won twice and is BHA rated 89. He has won over 7f and a mile.

He was owned until today by Michael Buckley, who purchased the son of No Nay Never here at October Book 2 in 2021 for 180,000gns. (19:08)

Lot 720: Amleto, a Sea The Stars full-brother to the dual Group 1 winner Sea Of Class and four further black-type winners, is bought by Ciaron Maher Bloodstock for 360,000gns. He was in training with William Haggas owned by Sunderland Holdings, who purchased the gelding at the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale 2021 for 240,000gns

Will Bourne, Maher's head of bloodstock, said: "He is the one we really targeted and we were very keen to pick him up. He is a really nice horse, and profile is very much for Australia, the sire line is proven down there with the Group 1 Australian Cup winner Fifty Stars and Just Fine, winner of the Group 1 Metropolitan.

"He is just a lovely lightly raced horse and a perfect fit for Australia. He has plenty of miles left on the clock and can't wait to get him down there."

Eddie O'Leary was underbidder. (18:47)

Lot 701: the always popular Sir Mark Prescott draft attracts plenty of attention and three of the string sell for six-figure sums, headed by the 140,000gns given by Boomer Bloodstock for Ottoman Prince (Zoffany), who won over a mile at the beginning of October.

Craig Rounsefell explained the reasons behind the purchase of the three-year-old.

We went down to see this horse at Sir Mark Prescott's, and that is an experience in itself!" laughed Rounsefell. "This is a beautiful athletic horse, on the videos he shows a great turn of foot, he likes the firm ground. He has been bought for California and he has all the attributes to do well there.

"Phil D'Amato will train, and the owner is Anthony Fanticola, who is a long term client. He bought Obviously here who went on to win a Breeders' Cup for him [2016, Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint] and this year he has Motorious, who we bought here last year and runs in next weekend's Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. He is a lucky owner." (18:37)

Lot 669: Blandford Bloodstock / Triple Crown Syndications spends on 160,000gns for Hiawatha (Camelot), sold by Coolmore.

The three-year-old colt has not run this year, but as a juvenile won a Curragh maiden in August and then finished second in the Group 3 Eyrefield Stakes over 1m1f.

He is out of Attire (Danehill Dancer) and is an own-brother to Luxembourg, last year's Irish and European champion three-year-old colt and three-time Group 1 winner, his top-level victories coming at two, three and four - this year's victory coming in the 1m2f Tattersalls Gold Cup. He finished second in the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes to Auguste Rodin in September. (17:28)

Lot 656: Sketch (Showcasing), consigned by The Castlebridge Consignment for owner Manton Racing and the training partnership of Freddie and Martyn Meade, is bought by Jerry McGrath for 220,000gns.

"He is going to Kentucky and trainer Conor Murphy, he has got some good owners,"said McGrath of plans for the juvenile. "I don't know who will own the horse, but hopefully he is exciting type to go to the US.

"He showed plenty of ability on his debut and is a horse we kept an eye on through the year and seems to be a real type for America. He did not cope with soft ground – ideally, he won't get too much of that where he is going!

"We knew we'd have to go strong on him, but hopefully he can win his money back in the states. It will be interesting – his best form is on quick ground, he has a good pedigee and hopefully he can get his price tag back."

The colt's debut success came at Newbury in July. He then finished sixth on soft ground behind Vandeek in the Richmond Stakes (G2), third in the Listed Julia Graves Roses Stakes on good to firm and then sixth of nine in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes.

Bred by Ballyphilip Stud, Sketch is out of Scintillating (Siyouni) a half-sister to the Group 2 winner Prolific.

In 2012, Murphy when working for NH trainer Nicky Henderson, won £1 million courtesy of a £50 accumulator on five of Henderson’s Cheltenham Festival winners – Sprinter Sacre, Simonsig, Bob’s Worth, Finian’s Rainbow and Riverside Theatre.

His stables are named Riverside Stables after the Ryanair Chase winner Riverside Theatre. (17:12)

Lot 614: Denmark is heading to Australia – the son of Camelot bought by Guy Mulcaster for Chris Waller Racing for 240,000gns.

The three-year-old colt is a winner of one race, and ran last time in the Group 1 St Leger. He also ran second in the Melrose Handicap and third in a 1m6f handicap at Haydock at the beginning of September.

"He is lightly raced, he fits our bill, we will put him into the system like the rest and we are delighted to get him at that sort of money," said Mulcaster.

Bred by Dayton Investments, Denmark is out of the Group 3 winner and Group 1-placed Board Meeting (Anabaa), the dam of the Listed winner and Group 3 placed Big Blue.

Board Meeting is a half-sister to Bright Sky, 2002's European champion three-year-old filly, winner of the Prix de Diane (G1) and the Prix de l'Opera (G1). (15:53)

Lot 606: South Pole (No Nay Never), from Coolmore, is bought by Hurworth Bloodstock for 130,000gns.

"He is going to George Boughey," said Sam Haggas of Hurworth. "He trained the half-brother Missed The Cut, he knows the family well and bought the yearling half-sister in Book 1, he liked the horse and liked how the horse ran at Leopardstown on Saturday.

"He is a good-looking horse and hopefully has got a lot more to offer as a three-year-old and beyond, like his brother. Missed The Cut improved with age, time and distance so, hopefully, this horse can do the same."

Missed The Cut was bought by Hurworth Bloodstock as an unraced two-year-old at the 2022 Tattersalls February Sale for 40,000gns. He went on to win three on the bounce for Boughey, including the Golden Gates Handicap at Royal Ascot. In the autumn he picked up the Listed Churchill Stakes and the following spring travelled to Saudi Arabia to take fourth spot in the Neom Turf Cup.

Missed The Cut is now in training in the US with John Sadler and won the Grade 3 Tokyo City Cup Stakes on October 1.

Boughey spent 330,000gns on his yearling half-sister by No Nay Never in Book 1. (15:50)

Lot 553 and Lot 554: Alex Elliott's new consigning venture Imperium Sales gets a result with Trust House, sold for 58,000gns to Aiden Murphy, and Lightning Leo, who fetched 50,000gns, bought by Hamad Ahmad al Jehani.

Trust House, a three-year-old by Lope De Vega, is now a winner having been successful in a September novice stakes at Ripon for trainer Ralph Beckett and owner Valmont.

The two-year-old Lightning Leo, a son of Night Of Thunder trained by Archie Watson for Al Shaqab Racing & Lone Star Investments, won on his racecourse debut in June. He has four times since, twice finishing fourth, including in a 7f Listed race at Vichy. (14:46)

Lot 541: Palamon by Decorated Knight is sold by East Everleigh Stables and bought by Tom Malone for 85,000gns.

The three-year-old, owned until today by Michael Pescod and Justin Dowley, has won since the catalogue was published, successful at York in a 1m2f handicap. He won then by 6l and off a BHA mark of 70 and was given a subsequent 9lb rise by the handicapper.

The gelding was bred by Emir Alkas and was a Tattersalls Ireland September yearling purchase at £50,000 by Peter and Ross Doyle from Castletown Quarry Stud. (14:32)

Lot 488: Finbar Furey was a foal €90,000 pinhook for Ballyphilip Stud, but when the farm returned the colt to market as a yearling the son of Kodiac failed to fetch his reserve. The McCartans of Ballyphilip decided to trust their judgement and put the youngster into training.

After a season with Clive Cox at Beechdown Farm Stables the juvenile colt, who is now a winner, changed hands today for 180,000gns.

Paul McCartan is at Tattersalls to watch the colt go through the ring and he said: "He did not make his reserve last year so we decided to send him to Clive because he did so well with Nando Parrado. Clive told me early on that this is a good horse and to give him a good name – so he is named after a very good singer, I am a big fan! He is magic."

Finbar Furey the horse is off to Saudi Arabia, bought by trainer Abdullah Ali Al-Saif, who said: "This horse goes to Saudi. I think his pedigree is good, the horse is a good runner and I think he will like the Dirt surface. This is my first purchase this week, but I bought a number of yearlings earlier this autumn."

McCartan added: "We don't mind having an odd one in training, not too many! Now was the right point to sell – he won the other day and we are sellers so we said we'd bring him to market." (12:28)

Lot 457: trainer Julie Camacho and partner and assistant Steve Brown have enjoyed a fabulous summer's racing with their dual Group 1 winner Shaquille and the Autumn HIT purchase Significantly, who was bought here last year for 50,000gns and went on to win Ayr Gold Cup, worth £92,000 to the winner.

The duo will be hoping lightning will strike again after going to 120,000gns for L'Ennemi, sold by Imperium Sales for Valmont. The colt by Siyouni previously trained by Ralph Beckett.

"He has a nice level of form and we think he will improve from two to three, and he came recommended by Alex [Elliott] and Ralph, they are good people and it is a good outfit, happy to take advice and he vetted well and we are thrilled to get him," said Brown. "He is a horse who we will regroup a little bit with now, and look forward to next year."

Of previous purchases in the Tattersalls sale ring, he said: "We have had a bit of fun this summer with Significantly and we are looking to repeat!"

L'Ennemi has run three times and finished second and then third on his last two starts. He has been given an opening BHA handicap mark of 81. (11:32)

Lot 445: Luke Murrell of Australian Bloodstock is braving a chilly autumn day at Park Paddocks in his shorts, but his purchase of Saxon King might have gone some way to warming him up – alongside Ronald Rauscher, he signing for the Faringdon Place Stables-consigned Zoustar three-year-old colt at 90,000gns.

"Thanks to Ronald Rauscher, he is our eyes up here in Europe," explained Murrell, adding that the Australian Bloodstock syndication company currently has around 200 horses in work. "This is a progressive little horse who I think has trained off a little bit – we will get him down there and give him a freshen up. Zoustar is a very good sire in Australia, especially those horses who are up and proven and a little light of frame like him, I find they are the better types.

"There is such good money down there [in Australia] so it is easy enough to buy these types. He will be a 1400m to mile horse, there are a lot of restricted races for a horse such as him and he can win a lot of money. He looks quite a genuine sort and the yard looks after them very well so we are always pleased to buy out of the yard."

Of syndicate plans for Saxon King, he said: "Most of our clients are Mums and Dads and working guys, and a horse like this, once we have the transport included, he will come in at A$9,000 or A$10,000 a share, which is affordable for most people when they are running for A$70,000 or A$80,000 to the winner every time they go around. He will be split up into ten or 15 / 20 people."

Of his visits to Tattersalls, he said: "Every year we come to buy 20 or 30 and we walk away with ten! We have bought two so far, but there are a few later on so hopefully we will leave with a dozen or so."

Of the other buyers and his purchasing at Park Paddocks, he said: "I wish all these other buyers weren't here, they can go home! It is always competitive and I thought Day 1 was particularly strong for the right horses. It is like that every year.

"I like to be tight with my money but there is good value there if you do your homework. I have probably been doing 20 hours a day for the last three weeks. I feel very prepared. I was never very good at school, I failed my exams, I now know what the nurds felt like when they showed up at school, they were well prepared."

Of his choice of attire he laughed: "You lot are supposed to be tough up here and I can't believe everyone is dressed like it is going to snow! I have brought my singlet, but that is not getting a run out, that's for sure!" (09:30)

Lot 370: Newmarket-based trainer Kevin Philippart De Foy enjoyed a first Group 3 winner at the recent Newmarket meeting when Inquisitively won the Cornwallis Stakes, and the trainer bid to 215,000gns for this Wootton Bassett gelding Rascal Recknell, consigned by Owen Burrows Racing.

The purchaser's docket is signed as Sam Wright Bloodstock / KPF Bloodstock.

"He has been bought for Wee Sean Gan who owns Inquisitively," reported De Foy after purchase. "The plan is the same – keep him in the UK for a bit and then send him to Hong Kong.

"This horse is a nice big type, he looks a decent prospect. We might run him once this year, but the plan is to give him as much time as he needs, he has a big frame and plenty of scope. I am surprised he ran in August, but he showed plenty of ability that day. He will hopefully run a couple of times next year and then head to Hong Kong next summer."

De Foy gave an update on Inquisitively, who is a son of Ten Sovereigns.

"He is having a break at the moment, I would love to see him run in Europe again next year, but there is no other plan for this year – we will see what happens." (19:23)

Lot 327 and Lot 365: regular Tattersalls horses-in-training buyer Qatari trainer Gassim Ghazli picks up a second horse today going to 68,000gns for Politico (Lot 327). The colt is by Blue Point, the leading first-season sire of 2023 boasting 34 winners and progeny prize-money earnings over £950,000.

The juvenile colt, offered by Kingsley Park, has run eight times and won three races, including a nursery on his last start – that run came at York, over 7f and he was competing off a BHA mark of 80.

Ghazli then adds to the Day 1 purchase list with Oddyssey (Lot 365), bought for 80,000gns. The Ulysses colt has good form in the book – he finished third in the Chesham stakes (L) at Royal Ascot and then took the same position in Superlative Stakes (G2) behind none other than this season's leading juvenile City Of Troy. (18:45)

Lot 258: Tom Malone / Jamie Snowden go to 100,000gns for the five-time winner Golden Maverick.

"He is a hard-knocking sort, sound as a pound, and has been bought for a syndicate – he should be an ideal type," said Malone. "He will go juvenile hurdling and then can run back on the Flat next summer."

The three-year-old Zarak gelding was sold by Ian Williams' Dominion Racing Stables, the trainer having purchased Golden Maverick at last year'sTattersalls Guineas Sale for 35,000gns.

He finished second last time out at Nottingham over 1m2f on soft ground, running off a BHA mark of 80. He won three races in succession in July. (17:35)

Lot 245: the once-raced Firebird, consigned by Barton Sales, is bought online by Stroud Coleman Bloodstock / Paddy Twomey for 260,000gns.

The Lope De Vega filly was bred by the late Sir Robert Ogden, raced by Lady Ogden and trained by Rebecca Menzies to finish second on her sole start to date at Ayr at the beginning of October.

Firebird is out of War And Peace (Frankel), a daughter of the Matron Stakes (G1) winner Emulous (Dansili).

"She has been bought for a client as a racing and then breeding prospect," said Matt Coleman. "She goes to Paddy Twomey. We know the filly well as I looked after the late Sir Robert and Lady Ogden's horses. The filly is a good looking sort by Lope De Vega, has always shown plenty in training, put in a promising race on her debut, and, fingers crossed, she can go on to get some black-type next year."

Of the family, he added: "The sister Balalaika was third in the Sandringham Stakes, made 330,000gns here at the July Sale when joint second top price, purchased by BBA Ireland.

"All of the mare's runners have achieved high ratings, and this year's Too Darn Hot yearling made 110,000gns. Bluestocking, under the second dam, finished second in the Irish Oaks in July, and was a neck second to Poptronic in the British Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes on Saturday. It is a happening family."

War And Peace is due to sell in the December Mares Sale as Lot 1737, while her Showcasing is catalogued as Lot 900. Both are to be sold by New England Stud. (16:10)

Lot 183: the bidding opened up at 100,000gns for Carracci (Quality Road) and, with competition both online and in the sale ring, the price quickly made its way up to 320,000gns, concluding with a bid from Mouse O'Ryan.

"He has been bought for SBS Global and he goes to Saudi Arabia," said O'Ryan from his bidding position by the gate to the ring. "He is my the pick of the sale, I love the sire and he speaks for himself. This horse's form is good, and we were keen to get him. He should be one for the big races in Saudi in the spring."

Carracci, trained by Aidan O'Brien, was a winner at two, and was placed in the Leopardstown 2000 Guineas Trial (G3) as a three-year-old this April. He has also finished runner-up in two 1m1f Leopardstown handicaps and was fourth last-time-out in September's Listed Diamond Stakes at Dundalk.

The colt comes from a top pedigree being out of the Munster Oaks (G3) third Butterflies (Galileo), a daughter of the Grade 2 winner Mariah's Storm, the dam of Giant's Causeway and ancestress of 11 black-type winners. (14:06)

Lot 134: Will Bourne, Head of Bloodstock for Australian-based trainer Ciaron Maher, is on duty at Tattersalls this week for the team and he buys Kings Valley (Territories) from Jamie Railton at 140,000gns. The Ollie Sangster-trained juvenile has run four times, finishing third on debut at Sandown in July and then second back at the track in September. "The plan is to send him to Harry Eustace for now and then ship him straight off to Australia," said Bourne. "He has run some really good races, he has been unlucky, he is still a maiden but he is a lightly raced two-year-old. He is very athletic, sound, clean-limbed, good feet, and he ticks a lot of boxes for Ciaran. We spoke to Ciaran and videoed the horse for him and he was very keen on this horse."

He added: "It is attractive the horse still being a maiden – in Sydney now we have the Super Maidens and they are worth A$100,000 and so, hopefully, [a win] would pay for the plane ride and we also have horse who can go through the grades."

The colt, who was a 65,000gns 2022 Tattersalls October Book 3 yearling purchase by Ollie Sangster from Southcourt Stud, hails from the late Sir Evelyn de Rothschild's long-developed pedigree of the European champion older horse of 2019 Crystal Ocean. (13:06)

Lot 2069: the Expert Eye colt pinhooked by Fiona Marner and David Sumpter here at the December Foal Sale for just 3,500gns is resold today for 16,500gns, bought by Adam Kirby.

The colt is out of the 100-rated Electric Feel, who finished second in the Oh So Sharp Stakes (G3). She is the dam of four winners and a half-sister to the speedy European champion three-year-old filly Glass Slippers (Dream Ahead), winner of the Flying Five Stakes (G1), the Prix de l'Abbaye (G1) and the Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint (G1).

"I think the reason we bought him because of his Mum," explained Sumpter, who has a small pinhooking interest each year. "She was rated 100, was Group 3-placed and a Listed winner, and at the price that we paid he thought he was a steal.

"We were relying here on the pedigree, and Fiona, who as always, has done a wonderful job with him."

He laughed: "It gives me a bit to pinhook with this year, a bit to play with! I have set the bar a bit high now with an increase of 500 per cent!"

Marner added: "It is all about having some Fun with a capital F, and we did think we might top this sale!"

Adam Kirby purchased the colt with a breeze-up campaign in mind, and it is his third purchase this week.

"They are going to breeze, hopefully," said Kirby. "We have a breaking and pre-training business and it is nice for me and Megan to have a small interest in a few that we can prepare and bring to the next level. They will know their jobs, they won't be breezing unless they are ready. We will hope for the best, but there is not one I don't like. It is something we enjoy doing, and it is a little bit of fun."

Of this Expert Eye colt, he said: "I really like him, he is a little bit feminine through his body but the breeze-up is six months' away and he has time to mature. He will be broken, have a holiday and then get back to work. He seems a very well-mannered horse, he is a very nice walker and with a reasonable pedigree." (14:47)
